251 unit condominium project proposed along Glanford Ave near Royal Oak

Mike Geric Construction on behalf of the land owner Diego Trozzo has submmited a rezoning application to the District of Saanich for 750 Enterprise Crescent & 4291 Glanford Avenue.

The proposal includes plans for over 250 condominiums and commercial space across 3 buildings rising up to 10-storeys.

The natural slope and elevation of the land leads to having prime views Downtown Victoria, Mount Douglas, and the Olympic Mountains. Given the natural slope towards the highway, it would appear the buildings would only rise 4 – 8 storeys when viewed from the Glanford Ave vantage point.

The Bird of Paradise Pub has been closed down for a number of years, while the liquor store took a more prominent role. It is unclear if the new development will pay homage to this neighbourhood pub or if the liquor licenses will be sold off.

More planning, community engagement, and community review is anticipated to begin over the coming months.
